Working towards the graded Musical Theatre examinations this course explores singing songs from different genres of musical theatre, learning about varying musical styles, how to control the voice, add expression, and develops confidence in performing. The examinations are recognised music qualifications that may support your child's secondary school applications (grade 1-5) and lead to higher grades which have UCAS points attached to them (grade 5-8). this term is our exam term, where we focus on bringing everything we have learned together to prepare for the examination. Letters for the exam will be sent out to those who are ready - please note that these examinations usually take around 18 months to prepare for in one-one lessons and that students are achieving excellent results within a year in a group setting - however not everybody will be ready at the same pace. This is to be expected and we will endeavour to support every student on their journey. Please be sure to check emails and letters sent home for exam information around May 2025.
