Service Description

This course enables students to develop fundamental music skills and explore the possibilities in Music as they go through the school. By the end of this course, each musical explorer will have: the confidence to sing songs in a group and be ready to explore the preliminary examinations in singing if they wish to; explored instruments of the orchestra and band; learnt musicianship skills to underpin future musical achievement; built confidence and performance experience; received a personalised progress report from the Costello Music School and made some new friends through music. Each session aims to build core music skills through fun activities, songs and games. Music exploration provides a platform for young beginners to spend time developing foundation skills in music and trying out different instruments in preparation for their onward musical journey through school.
