About the Role
The LAMDA teacher will deliver an engaging and creative curriculum to classes (ages 5-11) of between 10-25 students at schools around Brentwood, Essex. The larger groups will have an assistant present to help support the classes. The role will include supporting students as they work their way through the LAMDA course - learning to act, perform, make conversation, create and explore their love for performing arts.
The role will also develop into Arts Award support for out students and full training in this will be given to the right candidate.
There will be potential to grow your own understanding of our classes and progress independently through our CPD and additional courses with Trinity College London.
Requirements
We are seeking a LAMDA teacher to help us deliver LAMDA classes at the Costello Music School. The ideal candidate will have experience with LAMDA teaching and the examinations - including proven results.
You will be responsible for leading afterschool classes. We will supply all the necessary materials for the exam course, but you will need to design engaging lessons to present the content in an enjoyable and creativer way.
A full DBS will be required, right to work in the UK and the ideal candidate with have teaching qualifications. The application to apply goes through requirements in more details.
You will need to be available to teach during term time afterschool at primary schools in Brentwood, Essex. There will be further oppotunities for work as the school continues to grow.

We now operate in 4 schools in the Brentwood and London area - teaching approx. 300 pupils. The school is going from strength to strength, looking to expand into more primary schools over the coming terms. We have also been awarded Arts Award Centre status, which will allow us to offer day courses in the Discover Award to primary schools and we will also be running a Summer School from 2025, so there will be plenty of opportunities for you to grow with the school and find your own niche within our community.
